Introduction
To enhance the usability and look & feel of
your SharePoint pages you can add the Page ToolBar web
part to your pages. The toolbar will add a number of
common features to your page quickly and easily.
Print
Friendly Version
This button will display the current page without
the Navigation bars and will display the print dialog.
Send
This Page
This button will open an email message with the
link as the body. This can then be used to forward a
link on to a friend.
Add to
Favorites
The Add to Favorites button will add the current
page to the users Internet Explorer
Favorites.
Comment
The Comments button will open an email to
SPAdmin@MyCompany.com. You might like to change the address, or even
redirect the page to a Survey or some online
form.
Alert
Me
The Alert Me button functions the same as the
Alert Me feature in the SharePoint Portal. The only
difference is the Alert Me button is easier for users to
find. When the users clicks the Alert Me button the
Alert will be added to the current user’s profile and
will be accessible from their My Site.
Add to
My Links
The Add to My Links button works the same as the
Add to My Links feature in the Portal, but being part of
the toolbar will make it easier for users to find. When
the user clicks the Add to My Links button the link will
be added to the user’s Profile and will be accessible
from their My
Site.
